The Kitchen
Cooked over coals, served family style
Shashlik House NYC is a halal Uzbek kitchen in south Brooklyn. Skewers go on when you order them, over real charcoal, and come out with the edges caught and the fat rendered the way a kebab house is supposed to do it.
Alongside the grill there is lagman pulled by hand into a spiced broth, manti folded and steamed to order, samsa from the oven, and non that arrives still warm from the tandoor. Order achichuk and bread with your skewers — the servers will tell you to, and they are right.
Three addresses across Homecrest and Midwood run the same menu from the same kitchen, and you can order delivery or pickup through UzEats — call the branch nearest you to order ahead.

The Room

Exposed brick, a chapan on the wall, and a chilled case of skewers by the counter so you can see what is going on the grill. Come in for dinner, call ahead for pickup, or bring everyone — the Mega Fiest XL tray feeds ten to twelve.
